My partner's grandmother (from Padstow) has passed away recently and she's been looking for a recording of the song from the 'obby 'oss festival. All the versions we can find are either recorded live of the festival (which are great but not quite what she wanted) or don't cover the bit she wants with the horses coming back (I'm clueless tbh). Would anyone know if there was a band/choigroup that released this so we could buy it?
2017.05.04 02:47 FriendsCallMeBatmanDoes anyone know of any good Rope Perch alternatives?
Hi cockatiel! My partner and I are getting a bigger cage for our little feathered friends with lots of horizontal space and we wanted to know if anyone knew of any Rope Perch alternatives? We've had something like these in the past but one of our little ones chewed and ate small threads off of it, causing them to get lodged in his crop and stomach. He's fine now (he eventually pooped them out) and gave us a very big scare. So we've had to get rid of it. Wanting to avoid that scare again but have something nice and fun for the birds to walk, jump along when they traverse there new home would be awesome, but I can't seem to find any decent alternatives. Our new cage size is going to be something like this Dimensions are 93cm(W)x69cm(D)x160cm(H) Any help would be appreciated ! We're in NSW Australia so anything that ships here is welcome!

I've just returned to Belgium from the UK and had a wonderful time romping around on windswept beaches with the dogs, enjoying cream tea overlooking Padstow and spending time with my family. Whilst there I also got to hit the sales a bit and found some really great stuff at two shops in particular: White Stuff and Seasalt. Both companies have a similar outlook; a whimsical aesthetic and an ethical approach to clothing/consumerism that make them well worth discussion and consideration. Seasalt A family-run local brand, Seasalt currently have 13 shops in Cornwall, Devon and the Isles of Scilly; another further afield on the channel island of Guernsey and one more store soon to open. Their design is heavily influenced by the maritime history of Cornwall and the strong connection local people and towns have with the sea. History & Ethics In 1980 the late Donald Chadwick was visited Cornwall from the Midlands and happened upon a little store in Penzance selling "surplus clothing, fisherman smocks, rigger boots, gloves and balaclavas for cauliflower and daffodil pickers, and wellies". He was so taken by the shop and the owners that after mere half-hour there he shook hands with the owner, Mrs Strutt, and bought it. He and his family moved down to Cornwall permanently to run the business, with his sons David and Neil helping to operate and expand the business to nearby towns. In 2003 they decided to begin their own lines of clothing and, interested in sustainable textiles, they got in touch with the Soil Association. As a result, Seasalt were the first fashion company to be Soil Association certified for their use of organic cotton. Neil and his wife, Sophie (a graduate in Textile Design whom he met when she approached the company with a line of scarves she had designed) handle the creative side of the company and design the clothes. In 2010 they were named UK's Best Organic Retailer - a first for a non-food company. Their design to use organic fabrics is an ethical one, the costs of which they try not to pass on to the customer. In addition to eco-friendly textiles (that avoid the use of polluting and toxic pesticides and fertilizers), they've initiated a locally made range of products, use renewable sources of energy where possible, and give preference to suppliers who share the same values. A full list of their standards can be found here. Additionally, their site features a lovely Our Cornwall section and blog with everything from beach recommendations, sea shanties, Cornish gardens and recipes. Clothing Mariner T-Shirt Locally Made Traditional Guernsey Waxed Fisherman's Smock White Stuff With 85 shops all across the UK, White Stuff have grown tremendously from a rather more humble beginning in 1985 - two lads (George Treves and Sean Thomas) selling 'Boys from the White Stuff' t-shirts to fellow skiers in the French Alpine resort of Val d'Isère. Although the roots of the company are in that slightly rubbish realm of sporty clothing (see: Fat Face) they abandoned this in the early 2000s as the 90s penchant for hoodies, skiwear, shorts and combats swiftly disappeared, replaced by a desire for smarter clothing. In 2004 they hired Sally Bailey - ex-Brand director of Miss Selfridge who has steered it in a new and wonderfully weird direction. Their design tends towards the kitsch - lots of patterning and playful prints, interesting colours, small details and an infection sense of whimsy and humour. White Stuff clothing reveals itself properly in the little details - the quality of the embroidery and stitching, the cheekiness of the buttons, their idiosyncratic styling and irreverent prints. They encourage their customers to stay and socialise in the shops and see themselves as more of a community than a retail chain (indeed, they avoid the high-street and malls where possible). The shop I went to in Truro had a lovely little area for kids to play set up under some stairs. Charity One very pleasant aspect of the company are their charitable efforts - 1% of all annual profit goes to the White Stuff Foundation. Last year they managed to donate over £100,000. The nice thing about the Foundation compared to other charity efforts is that each shop is partnered with a charity operating in the local area. They've also produced items such as this Made For Change bag to sponsor children's education in Bangalore. Clothing Trader Floral Shirt (I have this and can't stop wearing it - it's very comfortable) Fairisle Slippers Foreman Trousers - with adjustable waistband tabs.
